Mr. Whitley is a graduate of the University of Iowa
College of Law, a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University with a
degree in business, and a 1962 graduate of Plainfield High School.
He has served on the Plainfield Township Board and the Board of
Education for Plainfield School District 202. He is a member of
the Plainfield United Methodist Church where he has been Chair of
the Board of Trustees and is currently Chair of the Building Committee.
He is also a member of the Brown Endowment Committee, The Administrative
Council and the Chancel Choir.
Prior to entering the private practice of law Robert Whitley was
employed as a personal injury insurance adjustor. This experience
and training have served him well over the years of private practice
as he represented injured persons and persons with insurance policy
disputes with their own insurance companies.
Whitley has practiced law in Will, DuPage, Kendall, and Cook counties
for 30 years and has memberships in the Will County, Illinois State,
and American Bar Associations, as well as the Illinois Trial Lawyers
Association. He became a Diplomate of the Court Practice Institute
after receiving his certification in trial practice.
