Robert Whitley

Mr. Whitley is a graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law, a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University with a degree in business, and a 1962 graduate of Plainfield High School.

He has served on the Plainfield Township Board and the Board of Education for Plainfield School District 202. He is a member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church where he has been Chair of the Board of Trustees and is currently Chair of the Building Committee. He is also a member of the Brown Endowment Committee, The Administrative Council and the Chancel Choir.

Prior to entering the private practice of law Robert Whitley was employed as a personal injury insurance adjustor. This experience and training have served him well over the years of private practice as he represented injured persons and persons with insurance policy disputes with their own insurance companies.

Whitley has practiced law in Will, DuPage, Kendall, and Cook counties for 30 years and has memberships in the Will County, Illinois State, and American Bar Associations, as well as the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. He became a Diplomate of the Court Practice Institute after receiving his certification in trial practice.

 


Gabriela Jacobsen

Gabriela Jacobson is a graduate of Northwestern Business College where she earned an Associate Degree in Applied Science and majored in the ABA approved paralegal program. During this program Ms. Jacobson was consistently awarded Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Awards. She served as an intern in the office of the Cook County Public Defender and was previously employed by two Chicago law firms before moving to Will County. Ms. Jacobson is fluent in both English and Spanish. She is proficient in her role as a paralegal and enjoys working with clients and other professionals.  Since joining Mr. Whitley, she quickly expanded her talents and is also proficient in the various services offered in a practice that includes many facets of the law. She is computer literate in the use of law related and other software, has excellent communication skills, and is very organized and dedicated to her work.
